'BIRTH TAPASYA AND MARRIAGE STORY STORY OF GODDESS PARVATI'
Hearing the command of Lord Shankara, Brahma began the work of creation. First of all, he created the seven sages and his Manasaputras along with the subtle elements, air, fire, water, earth, mountains, rivers, seas etc. Then, by the command of Ambike and Mahadeva, he created Daksha and Veerini and ordered them to create Maithuni .They both first gave birth to thousands of sons by the names of Haryashwa and Shabalashwa . who became renunciates by the teachings of Narada ji. Later he had sixty daughters in the next age, who were married to sages like Bhrigu, Shiva, Marichi and others.
Satisfied with the worship of Brahma, Lord Shambhu’s Adi Shakti Sati Devi incarnated in Daksh’s house to perform the work of public welfare. Everyone was very happy to see the beautiful face of the daughter.
Daksh satisfied the Brahmins and the beggars with his charity. Beautiful arrangements of dance and songs were organized long with various auspicious activities. It seemed as if a Kingdom of happiness had descended upon Daksh’s palace. The gods showered flowers. Daksh named his divine daughter ‘Uma’ Being an integral part of Lord Shiva, she used to remain immersed in his meditation since childhood.
One day, Devarishi Narada and grandfather Brahma came to Daksh’s house with the desire to see that wonderful girl. Lord Brahma said to Bhagwati sati- Those who love only you and whom you too have a desire to have as your husband, you should do penance only for those Mahadev jis’. Saying this Brahma ji went to his world with Devarshi Narad.
As soon as she entered puberty, Bhagwati Sati, after taking permission from her mother Veerini, started doing rigorous penance to get Maheshwar Shiva as her husband. While doing penance, Sati Murtimati Looked like Siddhi. Through various treatments, she became so engrossed in the meditation of Maheshwar that she was not even aware of her body.
All the gods along with Lord Vishnu reached Kailash and said to Lord Shiva Maheshwar! Mahatejaswini Sati is doing rigorous penance to get you as her husband. We request that you accept them in letter form.
Hearing the prayers of gods, Lord Mahadev appeared before Sati. The glow of her body was putting millions of Kamdevs to Shame. Maheshwar Shiva, the abode of Bhagwati Satine beauty Worshiped. At that time his face was bowed due to feminine shyness.
Mahadev ji said- ‘Sati’ who observes the best fast! I am so happy with you. Therefore, ask for the groom as per your wish, Good Luck! May you be well.
Sati said- ‘Lord! If you are really happy with me, then make me a slave by marrying me as my wife. Saying ‘this will happen’ ,Lord Shiva disappeared.
Therefore, at an auspicious time and auspicious time, Prajapati Daksh happily gave the hand of his daughter Sati to Lord Shankar. Daksh became gratified by giving his daughter to Maheshwar Shiva. There was no limit to the joy of all the gods and sages. After marriage, after bidding farewell to Daksh, Mahadev returned to Kailash with Shiva. The entire world rejoiced at this divine union of Sati and Shiva.
